What Is Pranic Healing?
Pranic Healing is a no-touch energy healing system developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, built on the principle that the human body has a bio-energy field, or aura, that reflects and influences physical and emotional health.
The word “prana” refers to this vital life energy. Practitioners are trained to sense imbalances in a person's energy field, remove used-up or diseased energy, and project fresh energy to help the body accelerate its own natural healing process.
Unlike many energy practices passed down informally, Pranic Healing was designed from the start as a structured, teachable system — standardised courses and techniques so the same protocols can be applied consistently by certified practitioners anywhere in the world.
How Does It Work?
Every practitioner begins by learning to scan: sensing the energy field around the body to identify areas of congestion, depletion, or imbalance without any physical contact.
From there, cleansing techniques remove stagnant or diseased energy, and energising techniques project fresh prana into the affected areas. Basic Pranic Healing introduces general protocols for common physical ailments, while Advanced Pranic Healing adds colour pranic energy for more targeted, faster-acting work.
What to Expect in a Session
A typical session starts with a short conversation about what you're hoping to address, followed by a scan of your energy field. The practitioner then works through cleansing and energising protocols — you'll usually just sit or lie comfortably, fully clothed, with no physical contact involved.
Sessions are generally calm and unremarkable in the moment; many people describe feeling warmth, tingling, or simply relaxed afterward. It's important to remember that Pranic Healing is a complementary practice, meant to work alongside, not replace, professional medical care.
Who Can Benefit?
Because it requires no special equipment or physical exertion, Pranic Healing is accessible to almost anyone — from those managing everyday stress and fatigue to people supporting recovery from minor physical ailments alongside their existing treatment plan.
It's also popular among wellness practitioners, therapists, and caregivers who want an additional, low-impact tool to support their own energy and the people they care for.
Getting Started
The entry point for everyone is Basic Pranic Healing — a two-day course that requires no prior experience. You'll leave with practical scanning, cleansing and energising skills you can use on yourself and others immediately, plus a clear path into Advanced Pranic Healing and beyond.
